Laser Center/Edge Finder™ manufactures a variety of models in five basic groups.

  1. The Original LC/EF models are designed to fit the standard sized mills and lathes. These are available in battery powered or AC powered models.
  2. The Mini LC/EF models are designed to fit the mini tabletop mills/lathes. These are available in battery powered or AC powered models.
  3. The Wet Cabinet CNC models are designed to stay in the automatic tool changer of a wet CNC machine. These only come in battery powered models.
  4. The Waterjet models are designed to be used by people with waterjet cutting machines. These are available in battery powered or AC powered models.
  5. The Bridge Mount models are specifically made for permanent installation on waterjet or wood CNC machines (gantry type). The operator uses the offset command on their computer to move the nozzle to the proper location.

Most of the LC/EF models come in the single laser dot, the crosshair, or the concentric circles options. The dot is the most versatile enabling the operator to do all of the operations that the crosshair or circles can do but with just a little more work and time involved.

The crosshair model is useful for aligning the work material or vice on the table.

The concentric circles model is useful for quickly re-entering a hole already drilled.

    The Magnetic Holder was developed as a way to store the LC/EF close at hand on the mill and keep it from getting damaged from rolling off the table onto the floor. It can be applied to any magnetic surface. The LC/EF fits into the holder, upside down, with the polarizer still attached. By having the LC/EF upside down in the holder and aimed just above the operator's head, the operator can observe if the battery powered LC/EF is left on. This would keep the batteries from running down too fast.
  • This replaces any power supply that has the push-in receptacle.

    The LC/EF Polarizing Attachment was developed to control the size of the laser dot, making viewing easier and more accurate on a variety of surfaces. This is accomplished by the addition of a linear polarizer element to effectively control the intensity of the laser beam. The lower intensity beam is easier for the human visual system to view, especially on reflective surfaces. The polarizer simply slips over the nose of the LC/EF. Rotating the polarizer in either direction will minimize the size of the laser dot projected
  • This replaces any power supply that has the screw-in receptacle.

    The LC/EF Dual Polarizing Attachment was developed to control the width of the laser lines projected by either the crosshair lens or the concentric circles lens. This makes viewing easier and more accurate on a variety of surfaces. This is accomplished by the addition of a linear polarizer element to effectively control the intensity of the laser beam. The lower intensity beam is easier for the human visual system to view, especially on reflective surfaces. Rotating the upper polarizer in one direction and the lower polarizer in the opposite direction minimizes the width of the lines projected.
