The LC/EF Dual Polarizing Attachment was developed to control the width of the laser lines projected by either the crosshair lens or the concentric circles lens. This makes viewing easier and more accurate on a variety of surfaces. This is accomplished by the addition of a linear polarizer element to effectively control the intensity of the laser beam. The lower intensity beam is easier for the human visual system to view, especially on reflective surfaces.
Rotating the upper polarizer in one direction and the lower polarizer in the opposite direction minimizes the width of the lines projected.
